Gender based violence affects everyone despite our age, color, religion, language, economical status and culture. Women and girls, worldwide are the primary target of domestic violence, sexual harassment, economical and social dependence, isolation, stigmatization, fear, threats, physical and emotional abuse.
We stand up to violence!
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is a global campaign to raise awareness about violence against women. It begins on 25th November on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on December 10th International Human Rights Day.
INTERSOS, supported by UNHCR (#UNHCRGREECE), celebrates the women’s rights with a number of activities and events (short films and photo exhibitions, interviews, workshops, music events).
