INTERSOS in collaboration with the Research Centre for Gender Equality co organized an event for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The Event took place on Friday, 23 of November 2018, at the Community Centre “Mikri Polis”. 

The event includes a speech by Mrs Athina Peglidou anthropologist, on the topic of «femicide» as well as a photographic exhibition entitled “Gender stereotypes under question”.

The Photographic Exhibition is a collective effort of refugees who participated in empowerment sessions on “Human Rights and Gender Equality”, which were implemented by INTERSOS.

Photography is a way of expressing feelings, thoughts, agony and beliefs without words. Photography is an international language that all of us can speak and understand. With our photos we want put in question what is consider normal and natural. With our photos we want to raise awareness regarding our rights.
