With the end of summer a great cycle comes to an end. The HELIOS Project in which INTERSOS Hellas actively participated since 2019 is completing its journey.
The program offered us the opportunity to help thousands of people who found themselves in Greece b ut also to assist and participate in the difficult part of their integration into Greek society.
Through a series of activities and mainly through housing support, we supported the integration of recognized refugees into our society, increasing their prospects for autonomy and self-determination.
It’s important to say that nothing would happen without the support of our colleagues who gave all their strength to be next to whoever needed it every day. We sincerely thank them for their dedication, passion and endless energy regardless of the circumstances.
The Helios Project enabled us to support 2,657 beneficiaries in finding housing, while a total of 4,133 people benefited from the program’s services.
INTERSOS Hellas participated as a partner in the HELIOS Project integration program from 2019-2024, which was implemented with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Greece) in collaboration with partners & with funding from the Ministry of Migration & Asylum and the European Union.
