Programme context

The HELIOS+ programme aims to support the integration of third country nationals, beneficiaries of International Protection and beneficiaries of Temporary Protection in Greece, through a holistic approach that integrates their access to education, the labour market and vocational training and is implemented in the framework of the National Strategy for Social Integration of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.

The programme will be implemented in the Region of Thessaly, by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the contribution of INTERSOS Hellas and the Municipality of Larissa. In particular, HELIOS+ will include actions such as:

  • Strengthening and facilitating access to the labour market through job counselling
  • Strengthening the ability of the beneficiaries to live independently through the learning of the Greek language.
  • Supporting beneficiaries during the stages of the integration process and promoting their interaction with local communities and their autonomous access to social and public services.
  • Strengthening independent living through the provision of housing support.
  • Raising awareness among host communities and stakeholders for the social and labour integration of beneficiaries.

Scope of Work:

The Implementation and Administrative Manager for Inclusion and Social Cohesion Actions is actively involved in the planning and implementation of the project actions, ensuring the availability and appropriate training of the staff required for the successful completion of the actions.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the responsibilities of the Head of Implementation and Administrative Management of integration and social cohesion actions include, but are not limited to:

  • Participation in the planning and implementation of project activities, ensuring their effective implementation.
  • Managing National Staff in accordance with the project’s organisational policies and strategies.
  • Design, update and implement regulations related to the subproject, ensuring staff compliance with them.
  • Supervise and maintain records of staff working on the project.
  • Coordinate local recruitment and support the team through the management of disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensure that payroll data is properly managed to reflect correct pay.
  • Monitoring and managing annual leave for staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
  • Monitoring and reporting to donors within the deadlines
  • Provision for staff costs

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • A higher education degree in Business Administration or a related subject.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Administrative and Human Resources Management in the humanitarian sector/NGO
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and oversee disciplinary procedures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, quality orientation
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of Greek and English
  • Excellent knowledge of computer use.
