1. Background

INTERSOS Hellas participates in the EU-funded project “PIHMAC – Prevent Human Trafficking”, implemented in partnership with the Italian Red Cross (Lead Partner), Spanish Red Cross, IROKO Onlus and Weavers of Hope.

The project aims to strengthen the prevention, early identification and protection of potential victims of trafficking at key disembarkation points through capacity building, multi-stakeholder cooperation, awareness activities and strengthened operational tools.

Within this framework, INTERSOS Hellas seeks a Field Officer (50% FTE) to support the operational implementation, coordination and documentation of project activities in Greece.

2. Purpose of the Position

The Field Officer will support the implementation of PIHMAC activities in Greece through operational coordination, stakeholder communication, administrative follow-up, activity monitoring and support to project reporting and deliverables.

The position will contribute primarily to project implementation under WP2 and, where relevant, support coordination and reporting activities under WP1 and WP4.

3. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Field Officer will be responsible for supporting the following tasks:

Project Implementation & Operational Support

  • Support the operational implementation of project activities in Greece.
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation and follow-up of project meetings, awareness activities, training actions and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for project activities and events.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Support communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders, including public authorities, service providers, humanitarian actors and other relevant institutions.
  • Facilitate information exchange and follow-up with participating organisations and project stakeholders.
  • Support dissemination of project information and materials.

Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting

  • Collect, organise and maintain project documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Support activity monitoring processes, including participant tracking, attendance records, feedback collection and activity documentation.
  • Contribute to preparation of internal updates, narrative inputs, reports and deliverables.

Administrative & Project Support

  • Support scheduling, coordination and administrative follow-up of project activities.
  • Maintain organised project records and documentation in accordance with donor and organisational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team to ensure timely implementation of project activities and deliverables.

4. Reporting Line

The Field Officer will report directly to the Project Manager / Programme Coordinator of INTERSOS Hellas.

5. Required Qualifications and Competencies

Education

University degree in social sciences, international relations, public administration, humanitarian studies, migration studies or another relevant field.

Professional Experience

  • Previous experience in NGO, humanitarian, migration, protection or social inclusion programmes.
  • Experience supporting project implementation, coordination or field activities.

Skills

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good command of English and Greek.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

6. Working Conditions

The position is expected to be implemented on a part-time basis (50% FTE), according to the operational needs of the project and in line with organisational procedures and donor requirements.
