Programme context<\/strong><\/p>\n

The HELIOS+ programme aims to support the integration of third country nationals, beneficiaries of International Protection and beneficiaries of Temporary Protection in Greece, through a holistic approach that integrates their access to education, the labour market and vocational training and is implemented in the framework of the National Strategy for Social Integration of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.<\/p>\n

The programme will be implemented in the Region of Thessaly, by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the contribution of INTERSOS Hellas and the Municipality of Larissa. In particular, HELIOS+ will include actions such as:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Strengthening and facilitating access to the labour market through job counselling<\/li>\n
  • Strengthening the ability of the beneficiaries to live independently through the learning of the Greek language.<\/li>\n
  • Supporting beneficiaries during the stages of the integration process and promoting their interaction with local communities and their autonomous access to social and public services.<\/li>\n
  • Strengthening independent living through the provision of housing support.<\/li>\n
  • Raising awareness among host communities and stakeholders for the social and labour integration of beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Scope of Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Labour Market Facilitator plays a crucial role in integrating beneficiaries into the local economy by enhancing their access to employment opportunities and promoting their professional integration.The role requires close cooperation with both beneficiaries and the business community, enhancing the effectiveness of placement and career development services.<\/p>\n

    Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Under the supervision of the Social Inclusion Officer, the responsibilities of the Labour Market Facilitator include, but are not limited to:<\/li>\n
    • Enhancing beneficiaries’ access to employment opportunities through networking with local employers, businesses, collective bodies, chambers of commerce, services, service providers, KEMs, SEMEs<\/li>\n
    • Organising visits to workplaces<\/li>\n
    • Organising job fairs and networking events to promote the link between beneficiaries and employers.<\/li>\n
    • Working with IOM staff to tailor job exploration to the individual needs and characteristics of each beneficiary’s profile.<\/li>\n
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the local business community to secure jobs.<\/li>\n
    • Supporting employers in the recruitment process of beneficiaries by providing information and guidelines.<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate with IOM staff to effectively support beneficiaries after they are placed in jobs.<\/li>\n
    • Compiling reports on the progress of employment and the effectiveness of the project’s actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or other related field<\/li>\n
      • A relevant postgraduate degree or specialisation will be considered an additional qualification<\/li>\n
      • At least one (1) year of experience in relevant work with vulnerable groups in the humanitarian sector\/NGOs<\/li>\n
      • Experience in managing employment programmes, employment and\/or career counselling.<\/li>\n
      • Ability to network and develop partnerships with employers and businesses.<\/li>\n
      • Familiarisation with employment policies and professional development programmes<\/li>\n
      • Knowledge of the local labour market and its requirements.<\/li>\n
      • Strong communication and negotiation skills.<\/li>\n
      • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.<\/li>\n
      • Excellent knowledge of computer use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
