INTERSOS Hellas is a member of the international humanitarian organisation INTERSOS, which operates in 25 countries worldwide, providing critical frontline assistance. With a continuous presence in Greece since 2016 in Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Lesvos and Athens, INTERSOS Hellas focuses on building strong links with local communities and promoting protection, human dignity and social cohesion, sending a strong message against discrimination and in favour of the protection of human life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme context<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The HELIOS+ programme aims to support the integration of third country nationals, beneficiaries of International Protection and beneficiaries of Temporary Protection in Greece, through a holistic approach that integrates their access to education, the labour market and vocational training and is implemented in the framework of the National Strategy for Social Integration of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The programme will be implemented in the Region of Thessaly, by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the contribution of INTERSOS Hellas and the Municipality of Larissa. In particular, HELIOS+ will include actions such as:<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening and facilitating access to the labour market through job counselling<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening the ability of the beneficiaries to live independently through the learning of the Greek language.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting beneficiaries during the stages of the integration process and promoting their interaction with local communities and their autonomous access to social and public services.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening independent living through the provision of housing support.<\/li>\n<li>Raising awareness among host communities and stakeholders for the social and labour integration of beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Social Cohesion Facilitator plays a central role in strengthening the social inclusion of beneficiaries, supporting interaction and building positive relationships between beneficiaries and the local community. The role aims to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes social cohesion and active participation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Social Cohesion Officer, the responsibilities of the Social Cohesion Facilitator include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organising events on intercultural exchange, integration and social awareness.<\/li>\n<li>Organisation of focused discussions.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening communication between beneficiaries and the local community, encouraging understanding and solidarity.<\/li>\n<li>Organising activities that promote social interaction, such as cultural events, workshops and educational activities.<\/li>\n<li>Work with IOM staff to address access challenges to goods and services.<\/li>\n<li>Working with local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders to promote social inclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Working with local stakeholders to identify the educational needs of local stakeholders regarding the integration of third country nationals.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening the skills of local actors through the organisation of training activities.<\/li>\n<li>Address potential challenges or conflicts, taking steps to resolve them in a respectful and transparent manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in social sciences or other related field<\/li>\n<li>A relevant postgraduate degree or specialisation will be considered an additional qualification<\/li>\n<li>At least one (1) year of experience in relevant work with vulnerable groups in the humanitarian sector\/NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Experience in social cohesion, community development or social support.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the social, cultural and political aspects of vulnerable populations.<\/li>\n<li>Orientation to problem solving and crisis management<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with local institutions and services provided in the community.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and mediation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and different population groups.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken knowledge of Greek and English<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submit Application<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you wish to apply for the above position, please send your CV along with a cover letter in Greek, indicating the job title: &#8220;Social Cohesion Facilitator&#8221; in the subject line of the email to: jobs@intersos.gr.
