{"id":4256,"date":"2023-05-16T06:25:06","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T06:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intersos.gr\/?p=4256"},"modified":"2023-05-16T08:08:06","modified_gmt":"2023-05-16T08:08:06","slug":"social-worker-athens-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intersos.gr\/en\/social-worker-athens-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Worker (Athens)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Title: Social Worker<br \/>\nCountry: Greece<br \/>\nDuty Station: Athens<br \/>\nReports to: Project Manager<br \/>\nJob Type: Full Time<br \/>\nDuration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)<br \/>\nStarting Date: 01.06.2023<\/p>\n<p>Project objective<br \/>\nThe main goal of the project is to access and respond to the most urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Athens while strengthening the capacities of local and community-based organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose\/objective of the position:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Social Worker will be the focal point in Athens for new arrivals from the islands, who need to be linked to the existing services available.<\/li>\n<li>The Social Worker will support Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Athens in accessing services, in order to ensure their continuity of care.<\/li>\n<li>The Social Worker develops individual and\/or self-sufficiency plans to match individual needs and preferences by utilizing a broad range of services and resources<\/li>\n<li>The Social Worker is specifically responsible to identify and document cases, identifying needed support and developing an action plan, ensuring follow-up, and monitoring visits and referrals according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).<\/li>\n<li>He\/she is expected to be honest and transparent and keep the necessary level of confidentiality on information acquired on the job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Management and Programme Quality<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate within a rights-based approach, respecting AGD and ensuring that all activities done are within a protection-centered environment<\/li>\n<li>Ensure referral pathways are followed smoothly<\/li>\n<li>Carry out initial vulnerability assessments and identify client needs<\/li>\n<li>Providing individualized counseling, orientations, and support to beneficiaries through service referrals, medical access in collaboration, and advocacy services by assessing and evaluating each client\u2019s distinct needs.<\/li>\n<li>Independently developing reasonable individual and\/or self-sufficiency plans and timelines for each beneficiary and managing beneficiaries\u2019 expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Support beneficiaries with direct assistance in distribution and tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that beneficiaries are provided with the basic tools necessary to meet their established short-term goals and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Assess and monitor beneficiary progress at regular intervals to ensure progress on goals is made; designated resources are maximized; modify initial plans and other case file documents as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with case management and reporting requirements; including timely data entry in hard-copy files and databases, respecting data protection policy.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all protection policies, procedures, and protocols of INTERSOS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monitoring and Reporting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide regular progress reports to Project Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Provide necessary data as requested so as to facilitate external reporting and Advocacy.<\/li>\n<li>Compile weekly\/monthly data reporting or as often is requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finance and Administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with all established procedures for financial management<\/li>\n<li>Follow administration procedures. Human Resources and Personnel Management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the creation and maintenance of respectful and positive working relationships, which allows for the effective implementation of all activities.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in smooth communication within the team and with other supporting entities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Logistics and Procurement<br \/>\nFollow all procedures applicable to all staff members.<\/p>\n<p>External Relations<br \/>\nMaintain relations with relevant focal points in relation to specific case management matters, under the supervision of the coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>Other<br \/>\nPerform other tasks and duties as required in order to ensure the correct implementation of project activities<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you wish to apply for the above position, please submit your CV along with a Cover Letter in English quoting reference code \u201cSocial Worker Athens\u201d in the subject line of the e-mail at: jobs@intersos.gr.
