hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h1>\u00a0<\/h1>\n<h2>Terms of Reference<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 668px;\" width=\"674\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 123px;\" width=\"121\"><strong>Job Title<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 539px;\" width=\"546\">Advocacy Officer<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 6px;\" width=\"1\">\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 123px;\" width=\"121\"><strong>Country<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 545px;\" colspan=\"2\" width=\"547\">Greece<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 123px;\" width=\"121\"><strong>Duty Station<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 539px;\" width=\"546\">Athens<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 6px;\" width=\"1\">\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 123px;\" width=\"121\"><strong>Reports to<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 545px;\" colspan=\"2\" width=\"547\">Head of Mission<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 123px;\" width=\"121\"><strong>Deadline<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 539px;\" width=\"547\">22\/02\/2022<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 6px;\">\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project objective <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main goal of the project is to access and respond to the most urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Athens while strengthening the capacities of local and community-based organizations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose\/objective of the position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contribute to the development of advocacy activities in the Mission by supporting in the analysis of context, humanitarian situation, security and in the definition of advocacy strategies, according to INTERSOS policies and values, in order to improve the humanitarian and human rights situation among population.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management and Programme Quality<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform data collection and research concerning local context, with regards to the refugee and migration crisis in Greece.<\/li>\n<li>Support the Head of Mission and Project Manager in the analysis of the data collected, in order to better orientate the programs and projects, to provide an optimal response to population needs.<\/li>\n<li>Compile a mapping exercise of all actors and stakeholders, such as NGO\u2019s, UN, ICRC, donors, authorities and other actors, while keep providing regular updates of the stakeholders\u2019 ongoing activities and plans.<\/li>\n<li>Define and review messages, tools, activities and other advocacy action plans and strategies, in order to raise all humanitarian issues in the mission and seek assistance and protection to affected population.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with key interlocutors \u2013 authorities, local communities, UN agencies, other humanitarian actors, international\u00a0stakeholders etc., to promote INTERSOS priorities, concerns and coordinate initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the elaboration and updating of the Country Risk Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Promotes and assists in the implementation of advocacy activities locally and nationally.<\/li>\n<li>Support collection and analysis of data (briefing papers, talking points, reports etc.) to inform operational positioning and advocacy efforts<\/li>\n<li>Organise discussions, training, briefings, etc. on humanitarian principles, monitoring\/data collection, stakeholder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Past experience and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essential degree in Law, Humanitarian affairs, Political Sciences or related university degree. Master\u2019s degree will be considered an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in research, analysis and advocacy.
